The Mental Capacity Act (2005) is the UK legislation which deals with mental health patients, describing their contingent rights to personal liberty, to make decisions concerning their treatment, and to an advocate.

This app presents the Act in a series of pathways and decision-making flowcharts, for mental health professionals to learn the consequences of the Act for their own duties, and to help them ensure that they are managing their cases in accordance with it.
